Victor Ortiz, an NJ Transit officer, is being hailed as a hero after saving a man from an oncoming train.

In this video from the AP, Mr. Ortiz is seen struggling with an unidentified man that is laying across the train tracks at Secausus station. After multiple attempts at moving the man away from the tracks, Mr. Ortiz makes a final frantic pull and manages to remove the man from the tracks, mere seconds before an NJ Transit train roars through the station.

CBS New York reports that the man had exited a previous train and ran onto the tracks, saying that he just wanted to die.
