The video above, shot on November 4th by a supporter of New Yorkers for Clean, Livable and Safe Streets, shows a carriage horse down in the street at 60th and Broadway. It is unclear whether the horse collapsed from exhaustion or if it had become tangled in its harness and tripped, as a spokesperson from the Horse and Carriage Association claims.
The carriage horse industry has recently come under scrutiny after a sickly carriage horse collapsed and died in the street last month.
