The 14th annual Gumball 3000 Rally kicks off Friday at noon in Times Square.

Most of Times Square has been closed to traffic for a few years, but today the pedestrian plazas will be lined with exotic cars ready to take off on a cross-country race! The Gumball 3000 is a road rally that attracts some of the most expensive and powerful cars in the world to drive 3,000 miles in seven days. This year, the race starts in NYC and ends in Los Angeles, with stops in Niagara Falls, Indianapolis 500, Detroit, St Louis, Route 66, the Grand Canyon, and Death Valley.

If you’re in Midtown today, stop by Times Square to check out the line-up of cars, and be there at noon to watch the start of the race.
