Man Killed by 'A' Train Near W. 4th Street Station in Greenwich Village

On Sunday afternoon, a man was struck by an oncoming ‘A’ Train just north of the W. 4th Street station. After being struck at 3:22pm, the man was pinned beneath the train and the tracks and was pronounced dead on the scene.

It was unclear why the man, in his 50s, was in the train tunnel.
