A woman nearly lost her child when an attempted kidnapping was foiled in Crown Heights.

The child was in a stroller at the Chabad-Lubavitch Headquarters, where the Orthodox Jewish Hasidic movement is based. The building is used as a prayer room open to the public during holidays, and this incident took place on the last day of Sukkot.

The mother quickly noticed the child being carried away and began screaming to attract attention. Bystanders on the street stopped the suspect and police were able to take her into custody with no injury to the child.
