Dash Cam Video Shows Tractor-Trailer Crashing on the Tappan Zee

Reading reports of today's crash on the Tappan Zee Bridge just can't live up to the video evidence.

The dump truck carrying scrap metal overturned, spilling debris across the Tappan Zee and closing the northbound lanes for more than four hours as the clean-up and accident investigation took place.

In the video below, a car's dash camera shows the moment that the tractor-trailer's rear wheels seem to tear off and cause the entire trailer to turn over into the fast lane, miraculously avoiding crushing any vehicles underneath it. The driver of the truck also avoided injury.
