The 46-year-old walked into A&S Candy Grocery on Lenox Ave at West 145th with intentions of robbing the store, but ended up stabbed multiple times.

A bodega worker fought back against the potential robber after the man brandished a knife. In the ensuing fight, the robber ended up with multiple stab wounds in the stomach that led to his death Friday morning. After the stabbing, the robber stumbled into a nearby Dunkin' Donuts where he attempted to throw away the knife and collapsed. He was later pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.

The deceased was reportedly known in the area and had given the bodega workers trouble before.
