Late-Night Collapse of Building Facade Injures Three and Slows Trains
Two suffered minor injuries and one was critically injured after a Bronx building suffered a partial collapse.
The front decorative molding of a building in the Bronx at 391 East 149th at Third Ave and Melrose Ave collapsed to the sidewalk and sent three to the hospital. The six-story commercial building is near Bronx shopping destination "The Hub", but thankfully the late-night collapse meant fewer people were in the area at the time.

Due to what the MTA is calling an "unstable building at street level", southbound '2' and '5' Trains are traveling at reduced speeds, even almost 12 hours after the collapse.
Google Maps Street View shows a variety of small shops and a deli at ground level, which have now had their storefronts damaged by the falling debris.
