FDNY Responds to 2-Alarm Residential Fire in Bushwick

The FDNY responded to 2-alarm fire at 98 Bleecker Street in Brooklyn. The top floor of the two-story residential building was reported as the source of the fire.

You may smell smoke and see emergency personnel in the area of Bleecker Street between Bushwick Ave and Wilson Ave, south of the Knickerbocker Ave 'M' Train station at Myrtle Ave.

Update: Later in the day, the cause of the fire was identified as use of a propane torch to thaw frozen pipes!
