Fire in Brooklyn Tile Store Sends Smoke Across Bath Beach

FDNY responded overnight to a fire in a commercial building complex. The fire seemed to start in Universal Ceramic Tile at 2162 Bath Ave and caused heavy smoke conditions, building to a three-alarm response.
Eight properties were damaged and one firefighter suffered minor injuries, but thankfully no others were hurt and it appears that only offices were above the street-level businesses.
