Two Manhattan Lowe's Stores Set to Close by February 2019

Lowe's Home Improvement will be closing underperforming stores that are within 10 miles of other Lowe's locations, and that puts Manhattan's two stores on the chopping block.

The Chelsea (Sixth Ave and 20th) and Upper West Side (Broadway and 68th) locations will be gone by February 2019, leaving a large location in Gowanus as the remaining closest Lowe's. Both Manhattan locations have even already been removed from the Lowe's store locator.

The good news? Stop by those two locations and grab some discounted gifts for the holidays! Everything from appliances to houseplants will be up for sale as the stores empty out their inventory.
