The Harvest tasting is upon us! Join us as we present our annual pre-holiday Harvest tasting, an afternoon of wine and spirit delights, with dozens of bottles uncorked throughout a four-hour pouring frenzy. Attendees looking for ideas on just what to pour at the Thanksgiving table will find close to eight dozen different wines and spirits from around the world uncorked for your appraisal. The tasting is comprised of two pour sessions, each with a unique array of wines. Session One will last from 2-4pm, and after a brief reset hiatus, Session Two will begin at 4:30 pm and last until 6:30 pm.

MCN's Thanksgiving Packathon

This Thanksgiving, let's be sure that everyone has a delicious meal to look forward to. Join MCN's assembly line of volunteers as we scoop, seal and pack 10,000 meals for New Yorkers around the city. What is a Packathon?  A packaton is a food packing event in which volunteers assemble bags of the following dry ingreadients: lentils, quinoa, rice, cumin, pink Himalayan salt. The bags are weighed, sealed and packaged into boxes. Each bag contains 10 meals. This pack-a-thon will be conducted in partnership with the HUNGER VAN. Please note: - HUNGER VAN will arrive at the host location with all the supplies and one meal prep Supervisor/Coach - Volunteers will be instructed by the Supervisor/Coach; what to do and how to prepare meals to go on the HUNGER VAN - It would take 2 to 3 hours to complete the meal prep project - All meal prep will be with dry ingredients - no cooking or cooking skills required! - Meals Distribution - Volunteers can follow the HUNGER VAN in their own transportation for meals distribution (not required)   We need all hands on deck! Amida Care, a not-for-profit New York community health plan, together with Northeast Brooklyn Housing Development Corporation, will host an interactive cooking demonstration, followed by a traditional meal just ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
