A mass murder in a Wendy's restaurant in Flushing, kills five and injures two

The murderer was a former employee, and he and his accomplice lined up all the late-night employees at the Wendy's store at 40-12 Main Street in an execution-style murder in the restaurant's freezer. There was no insight given into what turned the robbery attempt into a mass murder. One killer pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison; the former employee was sentenced to death, but his sentence was later vacated and he was re-sentenced to life in prison.
