Renovated in 2018 to update many types of playground equipment and park facilities such as full-sized basketball courts, handball courts, and playgrounds for toddlers and younger children.Originally named the Stephen Foster Houses Playground after the famed composer, the playground as well as the nearby housing project was renamed for MLK Jr. very early in its life.
