Pier 6 (Staten Island)

Pier 6 (Staten Island) [OpenStreetMap]

This area is owned by the Parks Department, but not open to the public in any way. It's little more than the remnants of Pier 6 and the remaining pylons stretching out 800 feet into the water! Visitors to the area are most likely there to take a dip in the nearby Lyons Pool, a free public pool, or the Lyons Pool Recreation Center, one of the 35 fitness centers operated by the Parks Department citywide.
