It is a 5 acre park at the end of Quintard Street in South Beach and adjacent to the larger Ocean Breeze Park. Once inside the trail, there is lush and verdent greenery and many wild botanicals and herbal species. Wildlife is abundant and includes a variety of wild geese, pheasants, ducks, rabbits, opossums, raccoons, frogs,a small herd of deer and even the occasional and elusive red fox. If you appreciate nature and would like an oasis to stroll through and forget you are on Staten Island for a while,it is worth a visit!

My name is Madge Meaner and I live at 92-A Beach Street in Stapleton. I go here often as an escape from hectic city life. However, once you meander inside the wetlands, you feel you are in the country. Spotless clean, tranquil and verdent. I have seen ducklings, geese, pheasants, rabbits (at dusk), frogs, many species of birds, two deer here and know other nocturnal creatures like possums and raccons are abundant there. The row of semi-attached homes homes facing it were built in 1997 for $ 155,000. (a real find), before it became this well preserved...
