Square is a company that quickly became known for their small, handheld credit card reader that attached to an iPhone or iPad, and now they will be bringing their payment system to the rear seats of NYC taxis. The company recently debuted its new hardware design, which incorporates a more robust card reader into a metal case that holds an iPad and displays an updated map of the city, weather, and information about your taxi ride.
