A Staten Island ferry strikes the dock at St. George Terminal, S.I., injuring 37

The crash came after engine problems caused reverse thrusters to malfunction and the ferry could not stop as it approached the dock.

The ferry involved in the crash, the Andrew J. Barberi, had only recently re-entered service after being involved in a fatal crash in October 2003.
