A Bronx Legionnaires' disease outbreak kills 10 and sickens over 100

The outbreak lasted from January to September 2015 and was caused by dirty cooling towers at multiple Bronx buildings. In response, the city now requires building owners to register, maintain, and disinfect cooling towers according to Department of Health standards.
