The second-oldest of the three Park Avenue Malls, this section begins where Park Avenue re-emerges from the Helmsley Building and stretches north from 46th Street to 59th Street, adding a bit of green between the north and south-bound lanes of Park Avenue. The section beginning across the street on 59th looks no different, but was completed two years later. View the other sections of the park at 34th Street and 59th Street. In a unique partnership, the Fund for Park Avenue maintains the public malls, arranging spring plantings, sculpture installations, and a display of lighted Christmas trees.
